Proximity to Weland is a massive plus

Isaberg Mountain Resort continues to evolve as a popular year-round destination for visitors to southern Sweden. The new Isaberg Base Camp sports centre, which opened in 2024, is amongst the latest additions to the resort and was developed by Erik Larsson Bygg AB. During the project, the company partnered up with a few carefully selected suppliers, including Weland, with whom they already had an established collaborative relationship.

Weland is well-represented at Isaberg Base Camp in the form of a number of different products and solutions. The galvanized entrance grating at various entrances to the sports centre have been specially developed to cope with frequent use and satisfy stringent durability and wear requirements. The sectional railings installed throughout the site, but particularly on the mountain coaster ride at boarding and exit stations, help increase guest safety. In addition, Weland roof safety products and solar panel mounts can also be found on the roof of the new sports centre.

Another major advantage of the companies’ collaborative relationship is geographical proximity, which cuts transport times and ensures really fast deliveries.
– Having suppliers close at hand is an enormous benefit – it makes our projects run much more smoothly and, at the same time, helps reduce our carbon footprint, says Edgren.
He places enormous value on Weland’s ability to customise its products so that they satisfy the needs and requirements of the end customer.
– Having the flexibility to produce bespoke solutions has been a huge positive in many projects, including the construction project at Isaberg. We’re delighted with our collaboration and look forward to continuing to work with Weland for many years to come.
