Declaration of Performance for construction products
Byggvarubedömningen
Sweden’s largest property owners and developers have joined together to form the Byggvarubedömningen (BVB) non-profit organisation to produce a standard for environmental assessment of construction materials.
BVB has assessed Weland spiral staircases, Weland straight flight staircases, Weland ramps, Weland railings and Weland gratings. The assessments are published in the BVB database.
SundaHus
SundaHus is a privately-owned consulting company that conducts environmental analyses of construction materials based on the data given in Declarations of Performance. Today, SundaHus is a leader in the field of environmentally conscious material choices. Most of Weland’s products have been assessed by SundaHus and are listed in its database.
BASTA
The aim of BASTA is to phase out hazardous substances from construction products. Hazardous substances are avoided by using the products that meet the criteria.
Weland has registered Weland spiral staircases, Weland straight flight staircases, Weland ramps, Weland railings and Weland gratings in the BASTA database.
EPD
An environmental product declaration (EPD) for a construction product describes the product’s environmental impact throughout its life cycle. This input is used as a basis for a life cycle analysis (LCA) for buildings.
At Weland, we have through an independent third party, EPD-certified our hot-dip galvanized steel products, such as gratings, ramps, railings and stairs.
